I love tilt-shift photography. It’s such a cool technique that makes big things look small, almost like toys or models. In some cases, it’s done so well that the picture as a whole looks like a fake set. Over the years people have found some very interesting things to down-size using tilt-shift. In this round-up we’ve included some of the best subjects I can think of to miniaturize including Niagara Falls, The Roman Colosseum and New York City among others. You’ll also find some less famous (even unknown) subjects that got shrunk like a pumpkin patch, a work zone in Dubai and a concert stage.
Psst! Have you heard about our new design news site called Design News Source? It’s got all the best design content all in one place, kind of like your own personal preview channel for the wired design world so you can save time and read better. Nice.
Wonderful! Great job!
I absolutely love that style of photos. It reminds me of watching Mr Rogers growing up.
Seeing the pics above from Italy made me want to share a Tilt Shift pic that I had done when I climbed to the top of St Peters Basilica and took a pic looking down on the square: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chriswhiteley/3710595058/in/set-72157621161058793/ – Hope you enjoy it.
